Brief description
Dr Maxim Avdeev is an instrument scientist for Echidna, the High Resolution Powder Diffractometer Exploring the crystal and magnetic structure of inorganic materials using X-ray and neutron diffraction and atomistic modeling has been the main theme of my research for the last 10 years. My interests cover a range of materials from ferroelectrics to superconductors, with particular focus on compounds with high mobility of ions, the so called fast ionic conductors. Such materials find application as solid electrolytes and insertion electrodes in rechargeable batteries.bUser Contributed Tags
