Dr Louise Hamby is a lecturer in the Museums and Collections Graduate Program in the Research School of Humanities and the Arts at The Australian National University. Her research areas combine the fields of anthropology and art with a focus on material culture from Arnhem Land. She holds an MFA in Fabric Design from the University of Georgia and a PhD in anthropology from the ANU. Her current research grant is an ARC Discovery Grant: Contexts of Collection â a dialogic approach to understanding the making of the material record of Yolngu cultures (2008-2011). Subjects
