Dr Jussi Toivanen was a Computational Model Support Scientist in the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment at Monash University. There he worked on building a coupled atmosphere-bushfire model with ACCESS. Prior to that he held research positions at the Department of Physics at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland and the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. There his research centred on improving models of atomic nuclei. Jussi completed his PhD at University of Jyväskylä in 1998.
