Full description

Following my undergraduate education in Australia, I pursued postgraduate studies under Prof. M. V. Basilevsky at the Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry, Moscow, Russia. After postdoctoral experience in France (Nancy) and USA (Davis, California) I returned to Australian and contributed to science education at the secondary level in Sydney. In 2004 I took up a position as Research Fellow at the Australian National University. While employed in a predominantly research role, I also took on tertiary teaching responsibilities. I have held a continuing position at Murdoch University since 2015. I aspire to apply new developments in the theory of electrolytes explaining specific ion effects, in the sphere of agriculture as a gesture of gratitude to my former teachers at James Ruse Agricultural High School in Sydney, who first introduced me to the electric double layer.
