Brief description Wave dynamics are critical to ocean industries, coastal development and leisure activities. An existing Australian surface wave buoy collections for near real-time and legacy data, from the early 1970s to present, is available on the Integrated Marine Observing System's Australian Ocean Data Network (AODN) Portal. This project will build on the current data collections and enhance their use within and beyond Australia by making available an expanded, harmonised, standardised and trustworthy collection of wave measurements, collected by a range of platforms, to researchers and other stakeholders.
