Dog/sledging tracks in the Mawson region between 1954-1970. Mapped at 1:3250000 and the Casey region in 1967 mapped at 1:1250000.

Statement: All routes contained in official records, travelled by ANARE dog sledging parties have been included. The data have been digitised off Australian 1:1,000,000 maps and clipped from the Antarctic Digital data base (which was itself digitised off the same maps but has been point reduced). The value tests for this data set include; A test for data completeness, A test for digitising errors (under and over shoots)A test for pseudeo nodes. Legal population of data fields. The horizontal accuracy of these data vary considerably owing to the varying positioning techniques used on these traverses. The horizontal accuracy these data are assumed to be +/- 2km.
