Brief description When snoring and obstructed breathing occur during sleep in young children if is associated with daytime learning and behaviour problems. By school-age it can be shown that these children have lower IQ than children who do not snore. We will study whether treatment of this obstructed breathing by taking out the tonsils and adeonoids in the pre-school age group can improve IQ outcomes for children.
