Receiving system (Seaspace, TeraScan) for the DMSP satellites was installed in 1997 by JARE-38. The OLS （Operation Line Scanner) data are included in the received data, which can provide auroral images in a large area around Syowa Station. The receiving system consists of a 1.2 m L/S-band dual feed antenna covered by a 1.8 m radome, and receiving and processing system.
