The Division of Animal Production was formed through the amalgamation of the Division of Animal Industry, and the Division of Dairying. The Division commenced operations on 1 July 1979 (1)The main function of the division was to provide advisory, research and regulatory services to the livestock industry. (2)
By June 1992, the functions of the Division of Animal Production appear to have been transferred to the re - established Division of Animal Industry. (3)
