The Division of Animal Health was formed through the amalgamation of the Division of Animal Industry, and the Division of Dairying. The Division commenced operations on 1 July 1979. (1)The main function of the division was to ensure regulatory control of animal diseases and pests. The Division was also responsible for providing research and advisory services into animal health. (2)
By June 1992, the functions of the Division of Animal Health appear to have been transferred to the re-established Division of Animal Industry. (3)
