Brief description Magnetic skyrmion materials for next generation spintronic-based devices. Magnetic skyrmions are a novel class of materials with unique spin arrangement, making them suitable for the next generation of information processing and storage with ultrahigh density and extremely low energy consumption. This project aims to establish Australia as a world authority in the field of magnetic skyrmions and their applications, by developing ground-breaking materials and advanced technologies. The expected outcomes of this project include the creation of new functional materials, leading to a better understanding of the skyrmions and producing a foundation for the future development of novel information storage devices.
