Brief description Overcoming the wireless throughput bottleneck: new heterogeneous architectures and algorithms for high data rate mobile broadband. Mobile communication networks are facing a rapid increase in broadband data with traffic forecast to increase by 18 times over the next five years. This project will create novel techniques for the design of a new wireless multi-layered network architecture that will scale to meet this demand whilst minimising the energy footprint of the network.
