Full description

The dataset consists of two documents: focus group transcripts (.pdf file) and workplace rehabilitation provider case records (.xlsx file)
Focus group transcription data: Participants in the focus group were experts in workplace rehabilitation and the focus of the discussion was on their experiences and insights to identify the key issues that impede return to work for workers with occupational injuries. The data from the focus group provided a more detailed conceptualisation of the determinants for delayed RTW and provided an additional pool of items for inclusion in the Return-to-Work/Case Management Inventory (RTW/CMI), a measure that was subsequently developed to streamline the RTW process and facilitate the early identification of workers at risk for poor RTW outcomes.
Workplace rehabilitation provider case records: This part of the dataset consists of 311 closed workplace rehabilitation provider case records representing referrals from the NSW workers' compensation scheme. Following development of the RTW/CMI, this data was used to validate the measure. The data in the closed cases was reviewed by the student researcher and entered directly into the excel spreadsheet which aligns with the items in the RTW/CMI. All data was de-identified.
