Brief description The cost of treating chronic kidney disease in Australia is more than a billion dollars per year. One of the pathological hallmarks of chronic kidney disease is inflammation. However, current therapeutics fail to target this process due to our poor understanding of inflammatory immune cells in disease progression. This project will investigate the biology of immune cells in chronic kidney disease, informing more accurate diagnoses and improved treatments for patients.
