Developing a model of Preventative Healthcare for People with Intellectual Disability [ 2/1/2022 - 1/31/2027 ]

Brief description People with intellectual disability face stark health inequalities, die prematurely from potentially avoidable causes and experience poor access to preventative health care. Access to preventative health care is one of the key pillars of Australia's long-term national health plan. This project will find out why there are gaps in preventative health care for people with intellectual disability, determine how these gaps affect people and develop a new model of health care.
