Brief description Synthetic biology enables molecules and cells to be programmed with new functions. Oliver Rackham is a pioneer in this burgeoning field and is harnessing the tremendous potential of synthetic biology to create new therapeutic technologies. These include protein-based gene therapies and genetic approaches for the discovery of new antibiotics.
