[Cite as https://purl.org/au-research/grants/nhmrc/GNT1165073]Brief description Food allergies are now a major public health problem in Australia, affecting one in ten children. Prevention and treatment is hindered by a lack of understanding of how genes and environment interact in early life to 'biologically embed' the risk of disease. In this study we will comprehensively characterise the immune dysfunction and underlying mechanisms from early infancy using a variety of state-of-the-art laboratory and analysis approaches.
