Data supporting "Imagery mediates the influence of positive affect on mindfulness and hypnotisability with flicker light"

The data here was generated during the study "Imagery mediates the influence of positive affect on mindfulness and hypnotisability with flicker light". This study consisted of two experiments, investigating whether flicker light stimulation can increase mindfulness experienced during a breathing meditation (Study One) and hypnotisability during a hypnotic intervention (Study Two).

From Study One, "meditationflicker_data.csv" contains behavioral data from the Qualtrics survey, including subjective ratings measured after a meditation intervention with either 10Hz or 0.1Hz flicker. Experiential measures include state mindfulness, visual imagery, consciousness alteration, affect, expectation, sleepiness and relaxation. Trait measures include trait mindfulness and imagery ability.

In Study Two, "hypnosisflicker_data.csv" contains behavioral data from the Qualtrics survey, including subjective ratings measured after a hypnotic intervention with either 15Hz or 0.1Hz flicker. Experiential measures include hypnotisability, visual imagery, auditory imagery, consciousness alteration, experiential avoidance, affect, expectation, sleepiness and relaxation. Trait measures include imagery ability.

Additionally, example ffmpeg code used to generate flicker videos ("ffmpeg video creation flowsheet.docx") and the HTML code used to play them from Qualtrics ("Qualtrics video HTML.txt") is provided.
