The record contains one dataset in csv format (INEQ_22.csv). The dataset contains information from individual fishers (column "ID"), from 5 countries (column "country"; Kenya, Indonesia, Madagascar, Tanzania, Papua New Guinea), and 48 co-management sites (column "site). The data was collected using household surveys, semi-structured interviews with community leaders, co-management organisation leaders, and other key informants (knowledgeable fishers, elders, and other stakeholders), and analyses of secondary sources such as population censuses. The file contains data on perceived livelihood impacts from co-management ("OrgEffLivelihood"), perceived community impacts from co-management ("OrgEffComm"), gender ("sex"), education ("yrseducation"), migrant status ("migrant"), marine primary livelihood ("marlivprim"), occupational diversity ("occdiv"), relative wealth or martial style of life (mslall), trust on leaders ("trustleader"), participation in decision-making ("decispart"), participation in community events ("CommEvent"), population size ("popn"), distance to markets ("distmktreg"), gear restrictions ("regr"), access restrictions ("regg"), area restrictions ("rega"), clear boundaries ("clearboundaries"), conflict resolution mechanisms ("confmechinter"), and graduated sanctions ("GradSanctions").
