This collection includes the data files that authors used in the statistical program R to determine the impacts of chainsaw noise on the activity budgets, calling behaviour and cortisol levels of the northern yellow-cheeked crested gibbon (Nomascus annamensis) in Veun Sai-Siem Pang National Park, Cambodia. Data was collected during two consecutive dry seasons: Nov 2017–Apr 2018 (study period one) and Nov 2018–Apr 2019 (study period two) on five individuals of a habituated gibbon group (Group A).
