Danial is the Law Course Coordinator. He teaches mainly in the areas of statutory interpretation and Indigenous legal issues and is particularly interested in the meeting points of law and religion. He has worked extensively in cross-cultural contexts in the Northern Territory and Indonesia. Danial holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), a Graduate Diploma in Education, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Masters in Applied Linguistics. He is currently enrolled as a PhD candidate with the topic of comparative authority in Ngarra (Arnhem Land customary law), Christianity and Australian law. Danial is admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory and prior to joining the CDU Law School he worked as a solicitor with the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency.
