Histopathological data extracted from reports held by state Cancer Registries for melanomas diagnosed in an Australian cohort of kidney transplant recipients, 1982-2003. Data linkage of the Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant Registry (ANZDATA) with the Australian Cancer Database identified 82 cases of cutaneous melanoma. For each case, 3 melanomas have been randomly selected from the jurisdictional cancer registries and frequency matched as controls.
