Full description
A spatial and temporal study of grape and wine composition was undertaken for two important cultivars (Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz) in two distinct regions of New South Wales (Orange and Griffith). This dataset has been prepared from targeted analysis of grapes and wines during 2014 and 2015 growing seasons. The data is organised into 9 data blocks representing: Block 1 Grape Amino Acids; Block 2 Grape carbohydrates and organic acids; Block 3 Grape anthocyanins; Block 4 Grape carotenoids; Block 5 Grape volatile Compounds; Block 6 Wine Making Parameters; Block 7 Wine Chemistry; Block 8 Wine Volatiles compounds; Block 9 Wine sensory descriptive analysis. A data driven multiblock omics design of experiment approach was used to identify important contributions to wine style arising from grape maturity at harvest. Data is available as a single Excel file (169 KB).Notes
