Brief description

The CSIRO archive of the South East Australian Climate Initiative (SEACI) Regional Climate Model dataset for the Murray Darling Basin region for the years 1961-2100. Created with the CSIRO Cubic Conformal Atmospheric Model (CCAM) Regional Climate Model (RCM) by dynamically downscaling the CSIRO Mk3.0 Global Climate Model output over a target area centered on south eastern Australia. SEACI is a research program investigating the causes and impacts of climate change and climate variability across this region. The CCAM model was nested in the CSIRO Mk3.0 Global Climate model (GCM) host for the two scenarios of SRESA1B & A2 with the M20th scenario as greenhouse emissions corresponding to 1961-2000. 4X-Daily, Monthly mean and seasonal atmospheric variables are available between Lat: -10.45, -40 & Lon: 135, 155 at 9 levels (1000, 850, 700, 600, 500, 400, 300, 200, 100 hPa) with .15º (20km) resolution. There are 1682 daily files totalling 4.73 TB, and 3251 monthly_mean & seasonal files totaling 71.6 GB for the SRESA2 scenario. With 1220 daily files totalling 3.25 TB, and 1679 monthly_mean & seasonal files totaling 40.2 GB for the SRESA1B scenario. All files are in netcdf format and are available for internal use and analysis by CSIRO staff on the HPSC cherax.
