Wildlife observations from voyages have been collected over many earlier voyages as mentioned in the Biological survey overview metadata records . Most of those records have not been digitised or lodged with the Data Centre. More recently there have been surveys from the RV Investigator where the observations have been logged in on-line database. Observations cover birds, seals, cetaceans and ad-hoc observations of turtles and sea snakes.
