Data is stored as mean number of individuals per site. Sampling occurred across 5 sites (Site 1 = Inshore, Site 5 = Offshore, Sites progressed westward). Data were translated from the original dBase111 files to Lotus 1-2-3, using the latter's translate facility, in 1990. (These files were used to assist in proof-reading.) In August 2004, the data were read off nine 5.25inch floppy disks as Lotus worksheets. This Copepod dataset was extracted from mainfile.wk1 (All taxa for all samples) into Excel spreadsheet and ESRI shape files. Data are currently stored in an (CSIRO) Oracle database, and are in the process of being migrated into the CMR data warehouse, Hobart. Full description

26 cruises between 1986 and 1988 recorded the biomass and species composition of tropical zooplankton in Albatross Bay, Gulf of Carpentaria, Northern Australia. The initial data analysis was undertaken by Graham J B Ross between 20 November and 15 December 1999, where a significant number of errors, of various types where discovered and correction made. See attached metadata record REPORT.TXT.
