This series comprises Contract Drawings for various railway lines in Victoria.

There are drawings showing maps of the proposed railway lines and the parishes they run through. There are also Light Construction drawings, which show a cross section view of the line, and the formation widths.

Some of the drawings record the relevant Contract Numbers for different sections of the line, when known. It would appear that the proposed railway lines were divided into sections, to allow for several contracts for different sections to be let for the construction of the line. Interested researchers can note the Contract Number and consult the Records Description Lists for VPRS 419 Contract Books. This series contains contracts (often including specifications) for the construction of various railway lines in Victoria.
