Research Background This research is situated in the development of contemporary jewellery international. Informed by my previous Antarctic experience the works selected for Melbourne Now are grouped to illustrate the recording and human presence in Antarctica. Research Significance The exhibition was curated for the National Gallery of Victoria This exhibition was the largest ever staged by the gallery and brought together over 300 artists from all fields practicing in Melbourne. "Melbourne Now celebrates the latest art, architecture, design, performance and cultural practice to reflect the complex creative landscape of Melbourne." Research Contribution The work was selected for this important international exhibition. This work is the only work to use reflector beads and phototransfers in combination with enamel to create illusions of place and atmosphere. The exhibition was accompanied by an App, ebook and several catalougues Published by the Council of Trustees of the National Gallery of Victoria.Issued: 2013
