Full description Hip and knee replacement surgery is common in older people, but they often have multiple health conditions and poorer outcomes. One reason is the lack of routine expert geriatric assessment in their pre and post-surgical care despite international evidence of its benefits. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment and produce a road map for introducing it to Australian hospitals.
