Community Road Safety Grants

Brief description

The Department of Transport and Main Roads offers funding to community groups for community projects and programs that work to address road safety issues in support of the strategic objectives set out within the [Queensland Road Safety Strategy 2015-2021](https://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Safety/Road-safety/Strategy-and-action-plans) and associated Action Plan.

The Community Road Safety Grants aim to:

* Provide opportunities for community organisations to support local road safety initiatives that have a road safety and educational benefit;
* Drive a fundamental culture change and attitude to road safety in local communities;
* Encourage innovation of new ideas to address current and future local road safety issues.
