Full description

On February 1976 the Community Relations and Publications Section was formed with the responsibility to promote a broader understanding of environmental planning with the purpose of encouraging public participation in the process. The Section maintained contact with the media including professional and trade media. Press releases related to the Commission and its functions were supplied to the minister and the Board. Specialised staff addressed meetings and prepared exhibitions, an education program was addressed at secondary school children and written and telephone inquiries were answered.
