Full description

Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1946 allowed councils to appoint 'occasional or standing committees' for the purpose of administering some of the areas of municipal operations. This same piece of legislation called for every such committee to report their activities periodically to their councils.

This series consists of notices of agenda which appear to have been created for circulation amongst committee members prior to the committee meetings. Committee members were councillors. The photocopied contents of the volumes in this series are bound and stamped.
