This dataset is combined U-Pb geochronology and Hf isotopic data collected via laser ablation split stream ICPMS.

This dataset contains:
- Six folders containing CL and transmitted light images of zircons that were analysed for U-Pb and Hf isotopes via LASS-ICPMS, with spot locations highlighted. These six folders correspond to different mounts.
- A methods document that provides detailed methodology and a list of samples, their lithologies and their corresponding mount.
- A geochronology summary document for samples.
- Five spreadsheets containing U-Pb and Hf isotope data of unknowns and standards, corresponding to 5 analytical runs.

Notes

Purpose
Combined age and Hf isotopic data was collected from detrital zircon in metasedimentary rocks to better constrain the source regions of the sediments. Hf isotopic data was collected from magmatic zircon in metaigneous rocks to better constrain the role of mantle v crustal melting in the generation of the magmas, and to better identify different zircon populations within each sample.
