Full description Giardia parasites cause significant disease and disability on a global scale. However, there is no vaccine to prevent infection and current treatments are failing due to parasite drug resistance. To combat drug resistant parasites new treatment strategies are needed. We aim to address this need and end treatment failures by identifying innovative multi-drug treatment options that include new anti-Giardia agents with 300-fold better activity and different modes of action to currently used drugs.
