Colonial Australian Popular Fiction is an online register of authors, works and other materials relating to colonial Australian fiction. It is a bibliography and digital archive that gathers together a wide range of colonial writing that has previously been difficult to access. This archive is part of a larger ARC-funded project based at The University of Melbourne, Australia, which has been researching and examining the history of Australian popular or genre fiction from the early to late colonial period. Colonial Australian Popular Fiction is designed to operate as a major reading, research and teaching resource. It makes available a wide selection of popular colonial publications, many of which are now rare and out of print.
