SPI12 is calculated by fitting a gamma distribution to each timeseries of 12-month aggregated rainfall and using this to transform/normalise the timeseries (SPI12). Full description

This data contains projections of future change in Standardised Precipitation Index (SPI) defined drought and extreme drought metrics. The projected change represents change from the 20th century (1900-2005) to the 21st century (2006-2100).
