Brief description

## **Abstract**

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from NSW Office of Water Groundwater Quality extract 28_nov_2013 data provided by the NSW Office of Water. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

This dataset includes the electrical conductivity of alluvium groundwaters within the Richmond River basin in the Clarence-Moreton bioregion.

## **Purpose**

The purpose of this dataset is to highlight the spatial variability of electrical conductivity as a representation of salinity.

## **Dataset History**

This dataset was created by selecting only those groundwater quality records from the source dataset for the bores within the Richmond River catchment that are screened within the alluvium.

This dataset only includes the electrical conductivity, a representation of salinity, and the spatial locations. Electrical conductivity has not been recorded for all bores within the NSW groundwater database, and this dataset therefore consist on fewer records.
