Researchers: Prof Christopher Semsarian (Principal investigator)

Brief description This 5-year research fellowship will focus on the identification of new genes in patients and families with inherited heart disease and sudden cardiac death. State-of-the-art genetic approaches will be used in linking our genetic findings with the clinical aspects of disease. This new clinical and genetic knowledge regarding inherited heart diseases and translation of these findings to improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches will lead to better care of families with inherited heart diseases and prevention of sudden cardiac death.
