Brief description

Clare is a program co-ordinator for the National Indigenous Science Education Program (NISEP) at Charles Sturt University (CSU) that works to build engagement and interest in science for Indigenous and low-SES high school students and, encourage the idea of higher school level and tertiary education.

Clare is currently undertaking doctorate at Charles Sturt University. She has previously completed a B Science (Hons) with CSU which involved a major in Analytical Chemistry and minors in Physics and Mathematics. Both her honours and PhD work involves canola seed and oil quality, specifically tocopherols (Vitamin E compounds), carotenoids (compounds important for Vitamin A synthesis) and sterols (plants sterols) that are present in canola seed and crude oil. 

As part of her teaching responsibilities, she also demonstrates and runs practicals for first year CSU Chemistry classes.
