Brief description Protection against disease provided by current influenza vaccines is limited by narrow virus strain specificity. We developed a novel ‘molecular clamp’ technology that constrains the major viral immune target into its native structure. Immunization results in immune responses with increased virus killing and improvements in cross-reactivity and protection against divergent viruses. Our approach will be further developed and compared to current commercial vaccines.
