Brief description The majority of trauma patients sustain chest injuries. If not treated promptly with sufficient analgesia, physiotherapy and respiratory support, complications such as pneumonia occur. This can result in death or longterm pulmonary impairment, delayed recovery and significantly increased resource use. To improve patient care and service delivery, we have developed the innovative ChIP treatment model, which triggers a clear treatment path and rapid multi-disciplinary response.
