The China stone coal mine is located in the Galilee Basin in central Queensland. The mine is project to produce approximately 55 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of coal (run of mine), which equates to approximately 38 Mtpa of thermal coal for export over a 50 year period. Coal will be produced from open-cut and underground operations and will be transported via rail from site.
This non-spatial dataset contains reports and appendices related to the draft EIS for the China Stone Coal Mine and Rail Project. Tables, figures and maps have been extracted from these reports to produce supplementary datasets. The China Stone draft EIS was released for public consultation on 25 July 2015.
