Brief description Our health reflects whether our cells and can perform their daily duties without being disrupted by disorder. One family of proteins, RNA-binding proteins (RBPs), are critical to maintaining order. They do this by managing RNA molecules; the exclusive products of our genes. This study will develop the tools necessary to identify proteins engaged in RNA-binding and, in so doing, add to the catalogue of known RBPs whose dysregulation can affect human health.
