Brief description Aphasia, a significant communication disability after stroke, affects comprehension and production of speech, reading and writing. Aphasia has radical impacts on functioning and wellbeing for over 120,000 Australians and their families, increasing healthcare costs. This CRE will transform research and practice in aphasia rehabilitation through novel research programs targeting: the predictors of recovery; treatment effectiveness; healthcare communication; and mental health and wellbeing.
