Brief description Antibiotic resistance is a global threat to health. Primary care is where most Australians are prescribed antibiotics. The Centre for Research Excellence in Minimising Antibiotic Resistance in the Community focuses on major contributors to resistance: high antibiotic use for common infections in primary care and residential aged care facilities. Research will inform the design, evaluation and implementation of urgently needed interventions, aimed at clinicians, patients and policy-makers.
