Full description
Mr. Karma Wangdi is the last know Bon practitioner in the village of Chema. He is the first generation of Dakpa who started speaking Tshangla in their childhood. Here he is demonstrating how appeasement of the Mamo is done, although he no longer practices this ritual anymore. Mamo is also known as Lamringbu (a long way from Tshangla). While recording this ritual, his wife, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and brother-in-law were all present, as they had not seen Bon rituals performed for the last 15 years. Tashi Tshewang made this recording.. Language as given:Created: 2022-06-18
