This series was created by the Office of Major Projects for the preliminary research and planning of the Victorian Casino Project prior to the granting of the casino licence.

It is not known how these records came into the custody of the Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority, but it is presumed the records were handed over around the time of the casino licensing process in 1993.

Contents include correspondence, research reports on casinos in operation in Australia and around the world, details on relevant legislation and planning and development issues.
