Cancer risk in women and children after medically assisted reproduction [ 2019 - ]

Brief description Current overseas evidence indicates an increased risk of cancer in women and children after medically assisted reproduction (MAR), including in vitro fertilisation (IVF). We will examine the evidence for 690,000 Australian women and 220,000 children exposed to MAR. We will link existing health records for mothers and babies collected over a 24 year period. We will then combine this data with UK and Nordic data to inform future international infertility policy and clinical practice.
