Brief description

Byron Shire Council Vegetation was mapped using a combination of aerial photograph interpretation (API), reviewing existing information (eg. vegetation survey data from various council and state government projects), and on-ground site inspections. It was originally mapped in 2015 from 2009 and 2012 aerial photography, updated spatially by Landmark Ecological Services Pty Ltd in 2017 along with PCT classes, and slightly revised in 2019 and again in 2021.
