Brief description

It provides a comprehensive assessment of the amount of ill health in

Victoria, Australia, measured by the incident cases



Incident cases are defined as those people who developed a disease or

sustained an injury for the first time in 2001.  The Burden of Disease 'data'

are modelled estimates,  using methods developed originally for the Global

Burden of Disease study but refined and adapted to the Victorian context
